Location

Hotel Aranykorona ** is situated at the foot of the Avas Hill, only a couple of minutes from the city center of Miskolc, at the center of the historic cellar row of Kisavas. The Tower of Avas, the Lutheran Church, which is one of the oldest buildings of Miskolc, the Herman Otto Museum and the National Theatre of Miskolc can be reached easily on foot. Bus and tram station are situated close to the hotel. The Cavebath of Miskolctapolca is 3 km, the Castle of Diosgyor 6 km, the Zoo 8 km and Lillafured is only 10 km far from the hotel.

Hotel

The history of the Hotel Aranykorona ** dates back to 1985, when the wine-press house of Kisavas was converted into a restaurant. A hotel was built onto the restaurant and the building has managed to preserve its orginal style. The rooms were renovated in 2005. The three-storey hotel offers 24 hour reception service, free parking lot and free WIFI internet connection in the lobby, no elevator is available. The Aranykorona Restaurant is open from 16:00 pm till 23:00 pm, guests can choose from Hungarian and vegetarian specialities. There is a multi-storey cellar system under the hotel with the Aranykorona Wine Knight Room. The Szendrei Winery offers wine-tastings, interesting cellar visits and in a gipsy music evenings for up to 90 persons. The hotel has a wine-shop as well, where the products of several wineries are presented. Pets welcome (free).

The Aranykorona Restaurant is suitable for family and business events up to 100 persons. (Equipment: CD and DVD player, fax, microphone). The considerable capacity of the Aranykorona Wine Knight Room (up to 300 persons) makes it suitable for larger events.
